Extend partition

I have an external drive partitioned as G: 30GB & H: 120GB . I want to extend G: to 40GB. When I shrink H: in disk management the extra space appears at the end of the drive after G: & H: . How can I do the extention ?

I think you'd need to remove H, extend G and then recreate H. Partition Magic (or gparted) may let you extend into the start of H but I'm pretty sure Windows wont let you.

Only Works for Vista

If you still haven't solved yet. This is only works vista.
Go Start>Right Click on "My Computer">Choose "Manage">Choose "Disk Management">Right Click "(on That Drive you want to extend)">Choose "Extend the volume">when there should pup up a NEW window>Click NEXT>Then Choose the Maximum MB for the disk>Click Next>Finish.
Then you should be done :good:
If it didnt work so dont ask me
