Hey guys, I need some help with deciding on an external hard drive. First off, I am just going to be using it to store/play all my cds. I get tons of cds from the library, and am going to be ripping them to the hard drive in exact cd format. Wave, 16bit, 44101 hz. So each cd takes up beteen 300 - 700 mg's on average.
I have read that some externals tend to fail quite a bit, so I'm a little weary of this. But then I was doin some more research, and learned that it might be better to buy a good internal hard drive and insert that into an external case. The internals seem to be more stable, and less money too. But however, I would just have to make sure I get a case with a fan to make sure the drive doesn't over heat.
So I can sure use some input, good ideas, and good products to get. I would at least want a 350gb.
Thanks!
