I have a macbook pro,
Mac OS X Version 10.6.8.
2GHz Intel Core i7
4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
The External hard drive is a Seagate 1000 GB - USB connection. About 4 years old.
I was working fine, I started using it for time machine on my mac as a backup. It was 100% full.
I stopped using it for a month or so then next time I tried it did not appear on my desktop/finder...
When I plug it in it does show up in disk utility for a second but the pin wheel spins for about 30 seconds and then it disappears.
What I tried:
1) A new USB cable.
2) unplugging the connections within the enclosure and re-pluging it in.
I don't know what else to try, does anyone have a suggestion?
