I have a problem with my hitachi h3500u 500gb external hard drive . I was downloading some videos and (from what i can remember ) just after clicking on a torrent file a minute later a blue screen came on and if i remeber right it sadi deleting directory or something close to that . After i saw that i reset the PC and the external drive will not show up on my computer . The drive turns on and i can hear things spooling up and spinning , but i can't see the drive in my computer . I have tried different cables and computers and nothing . My PC is XP, 1 gb ram , 2 internal drives (80gb each ) and 1 external (250 ) all of thoise are fine . I think it could be a virus ? but im not sure . Can any one please help me fix this ? I have done some searching on this forim and couldn't find anything of value to my situation .
