Currently I am looking to add more memory to my laptop through an external hard drive. I am wondering which is the best way to go at this? firewire? usb? external enclosure + hard drive? or pre-made one?
You can't add more memory to your computer by using an external hard drive, You can add storage space but not memory. Go to Walmart and buy an external usb hard drive.
If you use your laptop as a portable device like most people do you should consider just replacing the interal hard drive with a larger one. Caring around an external hard drive everywhere you go can get pretty combursome.
