external hard drive

I have a 220gig western digital external hard drive that I bought , what im trying to do is at the office it wont let me download flash 8 or Photoshop cs2 on the comps we have so can I DL flash and cs2 on the western digital and plug it in the work comp and work with flash and cs2 that way ?

I tried using it for music and it works can I use it for flash and Photoshop-Thanks

depends on the administrator of that pc. he might secured it so that you can't even install programs on it let alone download.
 
I have a external hard drive its 220 gigs it plugs in a computer via USB , I want to be able to plug it in at my office computer to work off of flash 8 and Photoshop cs2, my office computer will not allow me to download or load flash8 or Photoshop cs2 onto it , I want to know if I can download flash8 and Photoshop on my western digital and bring it to work so I can work with flash8 and Photoshop cs2 , will that work of my western digital or does it have to read from the main hard drive ? -thanks

those programs will run extremely slow, if at all, if you try to run them from the external. the speed of the hard drive wouldn't matter if you're plugged into a usb.
