Just copy your movies over to the external drive. You do have to connect the external HDD to a computer to watch anything though.

Thanks but in my notebook, i watch my movies using Smplayer.

How can i use this software in my HD and?

Or i just have to put the film and he runs it alone?

You place the files on the drive instead of storing them on your laptop. That's all.

Be warned, if using a usb 2 drive you may be in for a wait during file copying. I tried to copy some files over to my 320gb western digital(an old classic) and it took an hour or so just for a few gigabytes.

Here's how I do it, I have a external MyPassport 1tb HD and I connect that to my computer and put movies/videos on it and just play them from my external HD. You don't need any special software/hardware, just the movie.

That could be dew to the external drive of yours or your computer. I never have had that problem and I use USB 2.0.

Edit: Oh, you're a spammer.
