hi
just checking a theory, if i buy an external hdd and install games on it all those games will play on any computer (with correct sysreqs) so i can use this to play my games on a friends pc/laptop without needing to install?
cheers

if i bought a laptop and didnt want to install games on the actual laptops hdd but on an external one, would i be able to install games onto a ext hdd that was connected to my laptop and just use the ext hdd hwne i wanted to play games, and therefore save space on my laptops hdd, would there be any probs with config or anything? (im a noob with computers etc.)

programs will often put essential needed files in the registry and within the windows directory itself so they may not run.

For instance, if you do a re install of windows without formatting the hard drive then previously installed programs (which are still as was in the program files directory) often dont run because needed files have been overwritten.

Think that makes sense
