Hello! I'll save you some of the minor but long detail and get right to the point. 
I have a wd portable hard drive that I sorta slightly broke, but still functional, and it was MUCH cheaper to turn it into an internal drive then get the part i needed. So after I got the sata cords and plugged her in, I turned my desktop back on and opened my windows folder. Said to just click on it, and I did, But it is protected. I tried to take ownership but that didn't work.
Is there a way I can get into it? Or am I going to have to bite the bullet and buy the part I broke?
