Thick git here again as my computer had to be sent back to Novatech to have the sound sorted out under warranty.I asked them (with me paying) would they update my graphics card and they said that it did not need it but some
extra ram would help,so they fitted an extra 2GB making total 6GB.As i have Windows 7 64bit will what they have done make a big difference to my gaming, thank you.:)

intel I5 750 processor is on the 1156 socket if my memory serves me correct. This is a dual channel motherboard and therefore works best with x2/x4/x6 and so on sticks the same having an extra 2 gb may help but won't be that noticable a difference if you want a true upgrade try getting an extra 2gb stick make sure they are all the same model though.

So 6gb will not make any diff is that what you are saying,so i have wasted
my money again.

It will possibly make a difference. For most things, 4GB is enough, but if you are using a lot of programs at once, or have a lot of things running in the background, it will make your system much smoother.

The best thing to upgrade next is your hard drive. Make that current drive your storage drive and get yourself either a faster hard drive, or when the time comes for the next upgrade, if you have the money or if the prices have come down enough, an SSD. Or, go with what you were originally, and upgrade your graphics, either way, they will give the best performance boost, the video card in game, the hard drive in loading/saving/boot times

I think Novatech were talking out of their rear ends though to be honest, a video card upgrade to an ATi 68xx or a GTX460, or similar, wouldn't have cost all that much, especially if they went and used your current card as part exchange, which they should, but would have given a much better performance boost in games than extra memory would do (which I know you like doing ;))

Got my computer back from Novatech this morning and they have put 4gb extra ram on making total 8gb so that must help, yes.
