About the USB hub, will all the ports for any external hub on the market also be 2.0 if the original one on the computer is 2.0?

Other than flash memory and portable hard drives, what other devices should connect using a 2.0 USB port? Thanks.

Question 1: Technically, yes all the ports connected to a USB 2.0 port on the computer will be 2.0 on the hub if the hub is a USB 2.0 hub. Will they operate at the full speed of a 2.0 port? Probably not, and it really depends on how many devices are hooked up to really say how much the overall speed will be affected.

Question 2: MP3 players should be done on 2.0, as well as printers, webcams and any other device that is really data intensive. Some items that probably would do ok not on 2.0 would be keyboards, most mice, headsets, etc...

Thanks for the input, 2048MB - I feel DCIScouts has already touched on that knowledge in his answer. But as I needed multiple USB ports on my notebook, I'll have to save your suggestion for my future new desktop ;)
