u can use VirtualDub

u can use VirtualDub for that matter, try this link: http://mesh.dl.sourceforge.net/sourceforge/virtualdub/VirtualDub-1.6.1.zip
you have the option to extract just the audio.
what you need to do is to add the video you want to exctract, and go to File-Save WAV...
thats it... you can copress it to mp3 afterwards of course
