Extracting .Jar files???

Can someone please tell me how to successfully extract .jar files...

java jars are just glorified zip files. Rename to .zip and open.

open with winrar if u have it.

n if u want to open them, u might need something like Eclipse
or you will have to open it through comman prompt

with the java virtual machine it should run jars by double clicking.

I think that the .jar archive I have is corrupted, that's why I had trouble opening it.
