Hey all.
Recently upgraded my PC, specs in sig. Added another 8800GT with hopes of running SLI. My new mobo didn't come with a bridge, so I am waiting for one to be delivered by mail. In the meantime, I installed the Windows 7 64 bit drivers, and the Nvidia control panel gave me the option for running SLI. I thought I'd enable it anyways until my SLI bridge arrives, but after doing so my screen went black, and after a few seconds I got put back into Windows at a really low resolution and the Nvidia control panel dissapeared completely!
The only way I was able to fix this was by uninstalling the drivers, restarting the PC, and Windows installed their own drivers AND THEN I re-installed the latest drivers and this time DID NOT enable SLI.
Surely the lack of a bridge would not have caused this? My PC is up to date, bios, chipset, everything, and I am hoping that when I get my bridge I can run SLI properly...does anybody have any idea what could've caused this mystery glitch?
