Fable Problems

Hi everybody! I've been browsing this forum for a while, and decided what the heck. Register! I plan to post here with regularity, and become a part of this wonderful community. On to my problem.

Ive recently bought Fable. However, whenever it starts to load up, it gets past the splash page (i think thats what its called) and then says a fatal error has occured and shuts down. Now i know i have enough power to play this game:

AMD X2 4200+
2 gig Ram
7800gt


I thought that it might be a problem with my duel core, so in the time that it hadnt shut down, i set the Affinity in the process manager to only one core. HOwever, the problem stil persists. After i had reinstalled it twice, i noticed that hte fatal error said CPU is too slow.


I have the latest drivers.

Plus, this is hte only game that i have a problem with. BF2 and Quake 4 run fine

Also, i will l8r try to instal it onto my bros p4 3.0, 1gig ram, 6600gt. to see if its just hte games problem

Have you installed any updates for the game itself?

it did that on mine too, the only thing that helped was to make a new user account, but that kept failing on me

no, i havnt tried to patch it yet. ill try to, though.

where would i find the patch for it? i can't seem to find one.
