Factory Reset - windows 10

So i have an old laptop that i use for gaming, about 4-6 year old, i5, intel hd 3000, 4gb ram, when i got it it had a lot of memory ocuppied already but I didn't bother until i got steam and downloaded about 80 games and the memory was full, i was a bit of uncaring when instarted gaming and didn't knew much about pc and it got plenty of malware and in fevruary i started cleaning my pc and it resulted almost impossible for me to find the source those ads where coming from ccleaner, malware bytes and even spyware, i ran full scans but nothing, my pc got really slow and i decided to facto reset yesterday at 6:00 at about 9:00 the progress was about 28% and its been about 28 hours and it is still on 28% i have an asus with 2 disk drives should i cancel or should i keep waiting?
 
Something is wrong with the process. You need to abort the process and start over. Are you using recovery cd's or the recovery partition?

Sadly i am not using recovery cd's, I don't know what a recovery partition is, i went to the windows tab pressed settings went into recovery and did a full system reset. Will i loose my OS If i cancel?
 
What exact model of laptop do you have? There should be a recovery partition to boot into by pressing a certain key.
