Failed Visa Transaction - Site just down or something else?

My mum tried to purchase a T-shirt from this website for my dad tonight http://www.redbubble.com/

When she tried to pay for the shirt using Visa, apparently she was told that 'something went wrong, go back and try again.' She is a bit confused as to whether it is just a failed transaction because the site is down or whether something more serious is up?

She told me that when she went to the payment page, it was a https:// page and the URL bar went green (she is using IE10), so this should indicate that the site is OK? I have just taken a look at the ratings for this site on Web of Trust and there is nothing relating to bad transactions and stolen money (see http://www.mywot.com/en/scorecard/redbubble.com?utm_source=addon&utm_content=popup-donuts) so this may indicate that the site is OK?

Can anybody confirm if this failed transaction is likely just down to a site problem or if there is something a bit more suspicious. She is a bit paranoid at the moment because my dad told her that one of his customers had her bank account cleared by fraudsters, but if the transaction failed then surely money did not pass hands?

Thanks!

I would say it was an error with it being https. However, I would definately call them to verify they are having issues with payments.
