Fallout 3 DLC, tabing problem.

Whenever I try to tab down fallout 3, to check maps, guides, whatever, I can't get the game back up again. I have to do ctrl, alt, del, end the process and restart the game. It's very, very annoying. Is there any way to fix this?

Is it possible that you are accidentally hitting the key right above the tab button which opens the console?
(Happens to me all the time and I cant do anything in game then I realize I hit the button that opens up the console : P)

No, I can tab the game down to the desktop properly but I can't get it back up again.
 
yea i have this problem, i think it is just a fallout problem in general, just don't alt+tab or start+tab out i suppose :P

I went looking for a fix shortly after i got fallout 3 and couldn't find diddly that actually worked
 
Have you guys patched your game to atleast 1.6?
And if you have I bet you could find an unofficial patch on falloutnexus (which fix many things that the patches Bethesda did not fix)
 
Oh, sorry to hijack the thread, but it is sort of on topic.

The unoficial fallout patch mod, i downloaded it, put it on, all of them beacuse i have broken steel, the pitt, anchorage, zeta, all of em yea, and whenever I put the unnoficial patch on it won't let me sign into Live :confused:

I'm not fussed about having it on, haven't had any problems without the patch on, but has anyone else had that problem and/or found a fix?
