Fan controller temperature sensors

Almost certainly a stupid question, and I'm away from the computer in question, so I haven't even had a look, but...

How do you use the 'temperature sensors' that come with fan controllers? (this is the guy in question http://www.zalman.co.kr/eng/product/Product_Read.asp?idx=341). Do you just stick them to various parts of the case, or what?! I had imagined when I ordered it that it would be a tad more scientific than that! Like it could report core temps etc... Wishful thinking?

From what I have seen you just stick it where you want the temp. Was looking to buy one myself but i didn't get to many helpful replies to my post about fan controllers. Didn't end up buying one because it seemed like a lot of cords. If the temp sensors were wireless then I'd be all for it...

they are horribly inaccurate and a waste of time IMO
