Fan for laptop??

Hi everyone,

My fan on my laptop is really noisy. I´ve cleaned it and it´s still the same. Is there any way i can get a less noisier fan. I don´t think it´s ever been this noisy before. Any ideas???'

My laptop fan is noisy too, but i sorta just live w/ it, i hope to get a new laptop soon, i hate this Toshiba laptop, nothing but problems since the day i got it (and they refuse to fix anything under warranty). I've heard of people using WD40. You should probably use an air compressor to blow out all the crap that is stuck in there. also, sometimes you can turn down the fan speed so it's quieter, but that might cause it to overheat. my advice: try to live w/ it. and if you are willing to take apart your laptop (like i have on many occasions) you might have a hard time getting a new fan, because they might be very proprietary, like my fan is actually 2 fans on one piece of plastic, and it's proprietary so i can't really replace them.

Have cleaned by taking it apart

I have cleaned it before when the laptop stopped working and there was a whole load junk in there. That was a while ago and it´s worked fine ever since. My fan is in a metal casing and i´ve checked it for dirt and it´s fine. I´m just wondering is it normal that they go and is there a way to totally replace it with a less noisier one. If I bought a replacement fan for it would it solve the problem.
