So I have a Sony PCV-RS720G with an Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 900.

Whenever I play games, even like these weird old games I play that were made in 1995 and are like barely 5 MBs. One of the fan starts to make some horrible noise. The other times its fine.

And I had my computer checked it out by a friend yesterday and he is 100% postitive that the fan on the video card is worned out. But he doesnt know a quick fix.

I asked around and people told me to attach an old CPU fan onto the video card but I was like how in the world to do that???

yeah any help would be greatly appericated.

its a desktop.....wasnt too hard to discover

Would suggest taking off the side panel and going through the same processes again...running a game.

Whilst running have a look/listen at the open side of your computer to identify exactly where the sound is coming from...this is just to ensure that we are looking at the right problem.

If you can take a picture internally and post it up here and we can see if anything is noticeable

oo ok, well i didnt know, and yes, he's right, run it without the cover, and if it is the fan, just try 2 search 4 anothr fan from the same card.

its intergrated graphics though isnt it? in which case im interested in which fan he means then, not many integrated gfx i seen with its own fan system

yeah, i dont think intergratedhas its own fan. thats why i thought it was a laptop, because it was integrated, and im not familiar with that.

i cleaned the CPU fan and checked the heatsink today, it was a little dirty but the problem doesnt seem to be there related to there. and i have enough thermal paste, applied a little more just in case.

Thats the fan, along with the case fan that i can see inside my computer...

will upload a picture soon.....
