Fan problem

Hello,

Lately I've been having problems with the fans on my computer case. Usually they are very quiet and unnoticeable while I play my computer ,but lately when I turn my pc (does not happen every time) the fans will begin to make a very loud annoying sound. Almost as if something was rubbing against it. I checked the fans ,but I do not see anything wrong with them. Any help would be appreciated...

Thanks,
Eric

Try opening the case, turn on the PC, and isolate the fan (or fans?) which is causing the noise. It could be that the fan is rubbing against a loose cable or wire without your knowledge.
The fans also need to be screwed in properly otherwise they could be moving around excessively causing extra vibration noises.

Open the case and determine which fans are making the noise and remove cables if touching or replace fan. The fan could be off balance because of dirt on the blades or just could be a bad fan.

Can of compressed air but hold the fan so it don't overspin. If it's caked on then you might need to do some vigorous cleaning.
