fan question

i have an antec sonata (first one) and i'm not sure, but my temps are at 37C. Right now im overclocking and it doesn't seem to be at it's peak yet. So can i put a front intake fan on my case? i only have the 120mm fan that came with the case at the back and my heatsink. I attached a pic of my speedfan readings to verify that my readings of my temp was right.

You'll have to open up your case and make sure you have a place to put a fan. Adding an intake fan should decrease your temps a little. You might want to look into a HDD cooler, the temp is kinda high.

Those look pretty good, you just need to make sure you have a place to put them. If you do have a place to put it then make sure it's the right size. You could buy adapters if you want to connect them to the mobo, but make sure you have a place on the mobo to connect it.

Just make sure you have room for the fan, but ya if you could position it in front of your hdd that would help. If you don't have a dedicated place to put it you can always make a hole for it, thats what I did. And those fans look fine, do you have an exhaust fan at all, and what size is it, becuase you don't want to be pushing more air into your case then you are taking out

there's a spot to put a 120mm can in the front behind the hard drives.
thats what i did, but i don't think it helps the cpu temps much. However, it did drop HD temps by quite a bit. my HD temps were like yours but it went down to 37-38.

i got this btw

its nice and silent

when you install the fan, remember to use the silicone pins/screws or whatever you call it that they provide with the case

really? 37C is fine? o i thought that was hot! do you think it would be safe to overclock more?

actually right now its only at 32C! and my hd is at 35C! i guess its cuz of the hot weather in california

My cpu runs at like 45C and that is with aftermarket cooling on stock speeds. Go ahead and OC more.

i only have two of the silicone screws. what if i don't use those? wut will happen?

there's nothing wrong with not using them. they're just there to reduce/eliminate vibration noises.

they should have included 4 screws with the case.
