I'm just wondering how safe it is to have varing fan speeds. My laptop tends to get very hot, and someone showed me Speedfan which does a great job changing fan speeds based on case temps. Both Chipset and processor(yes, 2 fans in this machine) The only problem is they fluxuate quite a bit. Is it ok to have them going up and down so much? I guess it's better than overheating, but I just didn't want to burn out anything that controlled these. I just have this feeling that running a constant speed would do better, but this thing would get so freakin hot when I allowed that!
