Fan very loud, doesnt adjust speeds.

Hey guys, I recently got a new computer that I built. The motherboard is a MSI Z77A-G45, and the CPU cooler is a Hyper 212 plus. The issue that I am having is that the cpu fan on the hyper 212 is just so loud. For some reason, the fans on it are constantly running at 2000 rpm (which is the max for that cooler). Inside the BIOS, the fan speed is set at auto which for some reason just makes it run at full speeds. Unfortunately, the best thing I can do in the bios is set the fan speeds to a certain percentage, which doesn't help me much since the cpu will get much warmer under high stress as it doesnt change speed for load. Basically, I am wanting to reduce the noise of the CPU fan while the computer isn't doing a whole lot, and then have the fans ramp up when the load gets higher and the CPU gets hotter. Anyone have an idea on how I would accomplish this? Thanks

Can you tell us what version of bios is installed? If you have cpuz installed it will tell you, just go to the mainboard tab and it will tell you.

You plugged the fan in the right 4/3 pin cpu fan connector on the motherboard (mostly near cpu) and not in a casefan connector?
Also, did you apply thermal paste on the right way?
Plz measure your temps at idle and load using realtemp and a prime95.
What other specs do you have?

BIOS: Brand - American Megatrends Inc
Version - V2.5
Date - 06/19/2012

At idle, cpu temp is about 30 celsius, with prime95 it goes to 45-50 celsius.

I believe the CPU fan is in the right slot.

Other specs:
CPU - i5 3570k
GPU - MSI GTX 660 ti PE
Ram - Kingston HyperX 8GB 1600

Edit: This is what it shows on CPUID Hardware monitor for the fans PWM:

The cpu fan needs to be on the connector at the top of the board between the memory slots and the OC GENIE II. The fan connector below the cpu slot is for a case fan.

^^that's what I ment.
But looking to your image I conclude that that's not the problem. Because then it would be system fan: 100% and an error or just nothing at cpu.

Although I forgot to mention, speedfan shows some "strange" info...

I have 3 fans going right now. First is the CPU fan, which I confirmed is plugged into the CPU slot. Next I have 2 fans, plugged into fan slot 2 and fan slot 3. For some reason speedfan shows some wierd info, either that or my mobo is messed up :o

As far as temps go, don't use speedfan. Its very buggy as far as I'm concerned. If you want to see temps then use either coretemp or realtemp. You can try updating to the latest bios to see if that helps. Or try resetting cmos.

How exactly do I update the BIOS? I was trying to find out if there was a newer version then the one I had but I couldn't find anything
