Fanless CPU cooling

Quick question - how effective are they? I'm building a core2quad system in a 4u rackmount case, and it needs to be virtually silent. It'll be running 3 sound cards (fanless), a fanless video card, and 2 HDDs, and I'd prefer to have a fanless CPU cooler - I figured 2 big low RPM fans, one front one back, would provide enough air flow for the entire system - does this sound right, or will it be struggling to keep cool?

This is being made on a budget, so water cooling is (presumably) out (unless there's some very very cheap, very very good kit out there that doesn't involve a watering can).

cheers

I've ran the Scythe Ninja before fanless with my Q6600. Idles at around 45º and maxes out around 60º. This is with only 2 low rpm Noctua 120mm fans in the case and a fanless 8800GT.

Not sure if you could fit it in a 4U case...would probably be a tight fit but the megahalems would work ok fanless i would imagine.

If you want some really nice fans though, get coolermaster r4's. Very quiet as is, and would probably be dead silent on a fan controller(However, this really isnt necessary as you cant hear them in general usage over gpu's and such since they are like 19dba, however in a studio environment which what your working on sounds like, you may be able to hear them).
