Fans & Cooling question!?

Inside my pc I have the CPU fan, a fan on the graphics card, the PSU fan and a fan that came with the case. While the computer is on it is pretty loud and I wanted to know if there is/are any way(s) that the fans can still do their business but with less noise?

You should take it the way it is, u have a very little amount of fans in ur comp, especially with only one case fan. You can replace the case fan with a lower rpm one. Also what hsf do u have? (the cpu fan) And graphics u can get just a plain heatpipe with no fan, u probably can get rid of ur noise or most of it with about 70-100 bux but i could be wrong.

probably even less. :)
try unplugging the case Fan, does it makes a lot of difference.
what kind of sound is it. is it a high pitched noise? or is it a bit lower?

Yea ur rite, but for a lower volume fan, 10 bux, then heatpipe for vga-around 30-40, then f he replaces the hsf at extreme it gets up there, granted thats the extreme.

dont get me wrong, i never said youre wrong :)
its just, not all the hans in ther have to be noisy.
but if,. then it could cost you about $70 for the total.

Well generally speaking, it is better to find out which fans actually make the noise that is bothering you. Some cheap fans use sleeve bearing while the never ones tend to use ball bearings. However, you can splash out some dosh to get some quality fans that run at acceptable noise while still being effective at pushing the air. Try disconnecting the case fan....if that still continues, it could be either of the remaining three. You would be surprised to hear what kind of noise a bad graphics card fan can make. I have had my share of that.....they are high RPM fans and when they go wrong, they tend to vibrate and make a lot of noise.

JAN :D

you could also check the fans to see if there is any dust on them. my computer made a little more noise yesterday than it does today and yesterday i cleaned all my fans off thoroughly with q-tips... so i think that the dust factor may have something to do with it... check and see if there is a good amount of dust on the fans... also... make sure they are screwed into the tower tightly... if they are loose it could cause sounds as well
