Fans still turning

When I put my PC in standby mode, the fans still turn, and the rheobus is still turned on. This wasn't the case some time ago, when I regularly put my PC in standby, but now I have to turn it off, it sucks... How can I stop the fans and the rheobus from running in standby mode? I tried looking in my BIOS, but didn't find anything...

Isn't that normal? You may be talking about hibernating the PC. That's when everything goes off. Durning standby, as far as I know, the fans still turn.

Are you sure you werent putting it into hybernation mode before. Because standby, certain things run, hybernation, everything is off.
 
Happened to me also, if i put the compaq in standby, then everything would turn off, only the power light would be flashing, and same thing for my friends Dell. But on my 2 custom pc's, they stay on when its in standby. I saw something in the bios that says "suspend to ram", i enabled it but same thing. I dont know what you have to do to get it to work for custom comps.
 
my fans stop when i put my custom build to standby!! i havent done anything special to it. How are the fans connected, mobo headers or PSU molex??
