Far Cry 2 on a NVIDIA GeForce 7800GS ?

So im thinking of getting a Nvidia 7800GS for my system, and ive got an old system an AMD athlon XP2000 with 1.4Gz of ram running xp SP2, do you guys think Far Cry 2 will run on my system?

no it will lag sevearly and you will have to have it on low settings.

This might be a good time to upgrade to a dual core or if your board supports it perhaps a 2.4ghz 4000+ athlon...can pick one up for 20-30 bucks now a days. Though you can build a cheap dual core...I upgraded my parents rigs to a dual-core for under 250 bucks each (though I reused their old rigs GPU and PSU)
