FarCry 2 quites during gameplay

How can I tell if my computer is getting hot or if that's the problem?

I'ts an old hp that I transferred into a new case.
 
Far Cry 2 is a problematic game. have you patched it to the latest version? It's 1.03 i think.
Also, if you have an Ati graphics card then get catalyst 9.9, it fixed my issue where fc2 would crash after an hour or so of playing.
Either way, upgrade your graphics drivers, defrag your hard drive and exit any other programs running in the tray or in the background.

I have an old AGP graphics card. When i open the game it says upgrade graphics drivers but when i did the game wouldn't open at all so i have to use old drivers. No, I haven't patched it yet.
 
That card should run it fine with med/high settings but nothing higher. Update the game, it fixes a lot of issues but some might remain
