FarCry Problem

Suppp guys. Just bought farcry, and installed it, but when i go to play it nothing happens, a black screen comes up for a split second and then thats it? What do i do?

Could my card possibly be fried? counterstrike wont work now either sais something about video settings?

got it. i installed something on my mobo cd i didnt need.
