Fast internet or a glitch?

I'm at my aunts house and she isn't very computer savvy. She has comcast cable internet and doesn't know what speed it is. I did a performance test from performance.toast.net and speakeasy.net/speedtest. They both turned out to have down stream speeds of about 14-16mb. Now for a homeowner that is really fast and unecessary. I can't imagine she has that kind of connection. Do you think anything is wrong here?

might be. i have comcast too and speedtest usually show THIS but im sure that not right..

and i wonder if that powerboost thing affects the results in any way

Looks like you have the same problem. What is your download supposed to be?

6mb connection.... but when i actually downlaod stuff its not what the speedtest says. on a regular server it can get up to 1mb a sec

I have a connection that almost reaches 20megs.
I subscribed for a 15/5 connection and only pay like 50 a month. (devided between 4 people).

Just ask her what she pays a month. For a connection like that she prob pays anywhere from 50 and up.
