fast way to convert a folder to silgle file ( like .rar)

is there a fast way to convert a folder that contains sub folders ( totaling 600mbs) to a single file in order to upload it? i tried making it into a rar but even when using the fastest setting it estimates 30 min.

Use winrar. In compression method, choose store.

I recommend the program called "7-zip version 4.65".
But of course the WinRar is also good.

You can also try what ganzey told you.Windows operating system already contains the option for compressing everything into one compressed file.

By the way...if the size of the files you want to make into one compressed file is big,you CANNOT compress big sizes in a SHORT time.Even if you choose the STORE compression method in WinRar or in 7-zip and so on...,the time of compressing will still be long.I mean why is it so hard to wait 30 minutes???By the time you got the answers on your post,you could already compress that 10 times
