Faster drive = faster PC?

I think a hard drive with faster accesses time will start up programs faster then the one with slower accesses time. Can someone let me know if i am right?

Will there be a noticeable program start up time if a 7200RPM hard drive is used then a 5200RPM hardrive?

Windows will startup faster if thats the case right? Given no other changed are made to another components in the pc.

Yes, it will be faster. By how much, it varies. But stick with 7200RPM with desktops.

If you want your computer to boot up faster remove unneeded registry entries and start-up procedures.

if you want it to boot up super fast, format the drive...
