Faster Loading

It takes awhile for my computer to load Stronghold 2. My computer is slow. I was reading here, but what i found was about more complicated games, on much better machines, so im sure i have different issues than them. What i read was hard drive space most likely was the culprit. Heres what a have:

Cheap Dell
-256mb ram (going to 2GB in 4 days)
-integrated video (going to a 7600GT 256MB DDR3 card in 4 days)
-45GB of hard drive space left

any ideas from this what could be causing my problem? Any solutions? Will my ram or graphics card upgrade help at all?

One more thing. I started this game today and i played it on my TV (HDTV 720p) and the picture was about an inch hight. Like there was black on bottom and stuff i couldn't see on top. I've never had it do this for anything else ever.
 
Amount of ram was a huge bottleneck, and the video card. You should see a huge increase in performance with this. Will your PSU be able to support the video card? Whats the processor speed on this, and what OS?
 
I should have mentioned it is a Pentium 4 2.80GHz. And im running XP.

And as for the video card, lets just say it better work. I put in a ton of time on the dell forums looking around and asking for Card that I can use on my stock machine. I was told the max card i could run on this without a new PSU is a 7600GT, which is the only reason i didn't get anything a little more up to date. But then again, i play stronghold 2, Rome Total War, so i don't really need that much.

once you get the 2gb of ram and video card, stronghold should run fine, along with many other games.

as for what card it can handle, that would really depend on the motherboard and psu wattage, not one what model of dell it is.
