My computer is acting weird all of a sudden. When I switch it on, it says loading IDE drives, then it pauses for a moment, then says no drive and fastrack not connected bios not installed or something. All this happens then it will go to the windows loading screen (the black one with the horizontal tube with the multicolor loading thing that goes across from left to right), then the screen goes blank and nothing happens. So I push the little reset button and it freezes on the asus screen (black one with green writing). Push reset button again and same thing. I have to turn the power off at the wall, then back on, then it goes through all that stuff at the start but then it actually loads windows. When windows loads it says found new hardware (something about raid controller) and gives me the option to install it. This started yesterday and it scares me. I spent all of today backing up my files onto another computer. I have run a virus scan but nothing significant has been found. I have been installing quite a few freeware programs lately but I have uninstalled 90% of them, and none of then did anything freaky when I ran them.
As you can see I am no good with computers. Total NOOB.
