This new computer i'm working on has really given me a hard time, i guess i just have some of the worst luck in the world. When i first put it together it worked fine but then the hard drive started making some funny noises where it would try to spin up then stop and restart but it was all very loud. Soon after this, the whole computer stopped showing anything so after trying a bunch of different things i bought a new motherboard, this fixed the problem about the computer not turning on because everything works, i can access bios and even go into the windows xp setup but when it asks to install drivers for an scsi/raid and i try to install the sata drivers from the motherboard it says there is an error. The computer doesn't recognize a hard drive anywhere in the bios. The hard drive still makes the strange sound but if i put the jumpers in the power management option it doesn't but it still isn't recognized. The hard drive is a western digital caviar se 120 gb sata 2, the motherboard is an ecs c19a sli. I'm pretty sure replacing the hard drive will fix it but any input you guys have would be awesome.
