ok i reinstalled windos and to do this i had to change the boot order to cdrom now i cant get back to HD, na dno matter what i set the boot order to it says Boot from Cd please insert system cd. SO i went into bios to see if the harddrive even exisated, and i couldnt find it in there, i figured maybe im doing something wrong ro something stupid so i tried reinstalling windso again but it says there is no HD hooked up to the computer and then a new window pops up problem has occured windwos must shut down
now i dont know what could have caused this problem but before i shut down my computer everrthing was working, is the HD broken (do they just die like that?) or could it be some sorta HD driver not installed :S
please help
thanks
also the HD is a 200 GB Seagate SATA hard drive (7200, 16mb i believe), is it possible i still got company warranty and if i need to replace HD does it matter what i get as long as it is sata?

well thats kinda sucks :( is it possible i got company warranty still?
anyone know how to check, and if i have to purchase a new HD what should the specs be?
like will any brand work in my comp as long as its SATA

before you replace it have you tryed replacing the sata cable make sure the cable is pluged in the wright sata connection on the mobo go into bios and make sure the sata drive is enabled if your mobo is sata1 and your hdd is sata2 you might need to change the jumper on the back of the drive

well i know everything is hooked up right becasue well it looks right and a perofessional did it, but ill still look into that, i asked my buddy, and he said that the ram could actually effect it.... i have 1gb ddr2 533 240 ram and i know its cheap ram but hes says that the cheap ram could cause problems such as this.
Hes sending me another gig of good ram and im not sure if i swap the ram its suppose to start working agian or what but hes gonna email me back tonight or tomorrow
