Favourites Backup

Hi all.

I have a rather simple question here but I have no idea what to do.

Bascially like most users who often browse the web, I would usually mark out those interesting and useful webpages for a quick link into the favourites for future convenient access. I have accumulated quite a number of links in my web browser favourites like over 100 all these years. Now its time for me to reinstall my OS due to some lagginess. I know I can copy paste every link into notepad but I am just wondering if there are any better ways to make life easier and faster.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I take it because you call them Favorites and not Bookmarks that you are using Internet Explorer. You can Export your Favorites by doing the following:

1) In the File menu choose Import and Export
2) Click Next
3) Choose Export Favorites
4) Choose what you want to Export
5) Choose where you want to save it, adn then make sure you save that somewhere off your HD (because the reinstall will destroy it).

To restore it after you reinstall, follow the same directions but select Import instead of Export.
