will this one play on max settings?

6800GS and a ATHLON 64 X2 3800+ , if not which CPU AND VGA is good. it has to be 500$ or less in both . and can you tell me if i really need to get a X2 or can i play it with regular Athlon 64 3700
 
that will be fine, and i would definately recommend a dual core cpu over a single, though it doesn't matter yet when it comes to playing games which you choose
 
yea, thats definitely a very nice choice. if i hadn't gone with the 78gt for performance i probably would've gotten the 68gs, it seems like the best price for performance deal besides the 78gt.
anyways, i have a 3800+ and it runs VERY well im totally satisfied with it. im sure it won't bottleneck you at 2ghz with the vid quality way up, and im also sure that you could get to 2.4ghz without adding a ton of heat.
