Few Problems & Looking for new Graphics Card

I have two problems:
1- Games get less than 60 FPS, which is what I actually want.
2- When a SUPER HIGH graphics game such as Crysis 2 runs on 60 FPS my computer gets really hot and it smells like burning. Is that a problem with the source or with the graphics card? By the way in less than two years after I bought my PC it needed to change source, and this new source, when I play games with super high graphics at 60 FPS also smell like burning!

NOTE: I don't think my graphics card is enough to play at 60 FPS every game.

My computer specs are the following:

Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bits;
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2600 CPU @ 3.40Hz (8CPUs), ~3.4GHz;
8GB RAM;
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti;
And around 1 Terabytes of memory.

I need to know the following:
1- What graphics card would you recommend for me? (I wish to play basically whatever game, such as Crysis, the pinnacle of graphics, at at least 60 FPS and aiming toward 80-100, just as some kind of precaution, I guess).
2- What source should I buy if this one fails?
3- Is my setup decent?

THANK YOU FOR READING!!

The power supply is the backbones of your system, never skimp on it. I can't even find any specs on it. You will need a better power supply.

If you are an Nvidia fan then I would say gtx 760 maybe and you would need something like a 600 watt power supply from corsair. All depends on how much money you want to spend.
