Subtotal for 80302 with your selected options: $1,391.73

Is the power source good enough for this kind of copmuter? And what are your thoughts on the onboard audio for the A8V? Would I need to purchase that sound card? Also, is there a better video card I can get for around that price?

Thanks in advance.

I run a 450 on an Athlon 4000 and barely push 200watts...yes, it's fine -.-

Onboard audio is never as good as additional cards. I have the AN8, probably Abit's top of the line board, and I think my old Sound Blaster Live sounds much better...

As for video cards, I think ATI does better for less. Best to just check some benchmarks around for the cards you're interested in...

1. Thats a nice PSU. If you want to understand why, visit the PSU101 (http://www.computerforum.com/showthread.php?t=10764)

2. The onboard sound is ok ... but due to a limitation of the chipset (cough flaw) you cant dual audio with a PCI soundcard

The A8V doesnt support simultaneous use of the onboard sound and a PCI soundcard (and yes there are uses for this). When you add the PCI audio you forfeit the onboard audio
