Incompatibilities are the fault of the software, not the OS.
Software developers have to make their products compatible with the OS, and until they do that, the software may not run on the OS.
Having said that, most software that was compatible for Vista should run on Win 7.
That's the only baseline we have right now.
So...if your software says it's compatible for Vista, there's a very good chance it will work on Win 7.
Check your software.
