File Damaged Could Not Be Repaired

Every time I save a file (i.e. a bank statement) in a .pdf format, I get an error message as stated in the tile of this thread. I have tried Reader 10 and 11 and it doesn't make a difference. I am running Win 8.1 and using Google Chrome.

Any ideas?
 
You want to install the latest version available for your particular OS. Have you tried installing other pdf programs like foxit reader?
 
Not familiar with foxit reader. Do you recommend it over Acrobat? All I'm looking at is something that will allow me to read pdf files, saved from the net (i.e. bank statements, health records, anything else). I'm certainly open to suggestions.
