My brother got pissed at me and deleted my 300gb of porno collection....anyway to get some or all of it back?? Im dying here
 
300 GB of porn?! How did 300GB of porn get deleted from <280GB worth of hard drive space?
You DID back it up to an external hard drive or DVD-R±W, right?
Any intellectual property should be backed up regularly, be it sales presentations, graphics or audio files, or even porn.
If you have Norton System works, there's an undelete function. But unless your Recycle Bin is at least 300GB, I'd say the files are lost. I may be wrong, so someone else might chip in here.

Moral of the story is to regularly back up all data regularly to avoid this sort of problem.

Well I have a 100gb external hd as well thats not in my sig...but yea so is it all gone????????????????? lol

It is not all gone. It might be there somewhere.
Unless the person have run "Disk Sweeper" or any other program wich overwrites the disk so many times that the data get unreadeble.

Anyway: The bits and bytes of porno is still on your hard disk. Just not visible. To see and recover the files you need a recovery program.

There is several out there. When i deleted 50Gigabyte of home-made-videos i recovered them with a program called: "Filescavenger 3.0"
All files recovered, everthing just fine. It costs 45US$.

But: If you use your disk and fill it up. the data will overwrite the "porn" making it nearly impossible to recover. So keep your usage moderate and try to run a recovery program.

See? This is why I said my answer was a guess. I'm also guessing he's used the machine some and overwritten some of the files by now.

actually it wasnt 300gb of porno..it was a lot of tv show seasons...like 7 seasons of the west wing...9 seasons of the x-files...two seasons of lost..thats what like over a 100gb there...then some movies and games...there was a lot of porno though...but no one in their right mind has 300gb...unless they manage a porn site or something..it was under a 100gb of porn...but no worries he had transferred it all to his external hdd overnight as a prank...lol

A prank?!
Anyone tried to pull a stunt like that on me as a "prank", I'd kick his a$$ into the middle of next week! I strongly suggest you start using passwords to log on to your machine, and tell this guy to stay the hell away from your PC!

Hey Omega..thanks for the tune up utilities comment..that program is really useful....I was messing round with it for half an hour...
