file to large. please help!

i really need to copy a .dmg file from my pc to my mac but when i try to put it on my hard drive i get a message saying the file is to large for for the destination file system. there is definately more than enough space on the hard drive. the file is just over 4gb and the hard drive has hundreds of gb free. how can i get the file to my mac? please help it's really important. thanks in advance

Very typical FAT32 limitation. You can convert your drive to NTFS but the mac will only be able to read the drive, not write it (assuming this is an external drive).
