can anyone tell me an easy way to transfer all my files over to my new pc. From XP to Vista. I done a search and found that there is a file transfer wizard in xp but would that work ok transferring to vista? My other problem is that the wizard dosen't transfer program files, so i would have to reinstall all off my programs again. I need to keep the hard drive in my old pc to be able to sell it. Any ideas?

some of the higher priced programs have transfer options but to do any transferring you'd have to go..
well, by the flash disk

Just manually transfer all your files and settings to the other PC via the network, DVD/CD, external hard drive, or thumb drive.

i have no problems manually switching all my files to my new pc as i have only 60gb of stuff on this one but im just worried that i wont be able to switch over the apps that are registered on this pc over to my new one. most of which i dont have the cds for. would there be any issues with that?
