Hello I'm back again.
Sorry if this is the wrong forum but I couldn't figure out where else to put it.
Right here's the problem : some files have disappeared.
I'm moving films from their individual files to a file marked "Film", the I delete the file the film arrived in (I download with Bittorrent). I select the file then press delete then enter, without really reading what the window that pops up says (because its asking if I really want to delete the file.
However, just a couple of days, I pressed delete then enter and I lost about ten files from "My documents", containing films, photos, Openoffice files, PDF files etc.... The window that flashed up didn't look like a standard deletion box, and I didn't have time to read since I just usually press enter.
So I went to the recycle bin ad nothing, weird.... so I program the computer to show all hidden files, still nothing. I do a search of BOTH hard-drives, WINDOWS (C
and DATA (D
, no trace of any of the files that.... disappeared.
So I download various file recovery tools (Recuva, Datarecovery, and Testdisk). None of them can find the original files, only shortcuts which (obviously) don't lead anywhere because the short-cut path leads to a file that no longer exists.
Anyone got any ideas?
