Files!?!

:confused: It was avi and you want to change it to avi? Are we talking file conversion (ie mpeg to avi) or just file extension where the file is still same.
 
Well it was orginnalyl an avi video file format then it got changed to a just a file format* i want to knwo how to convert it back to avi video format.
 
I still don't know if I understand. How did the file get changed in the first place?
 
I think it was being uplaoded to soemoen else and it has to be in file format? While it was uplading i cancled it uploadfing to soemone
 
Well, if I understand correctly, you need to just type ".avi" after the file name in windows explorer.
 
One thing say i changed the file already liek .mpeg

And i want to change it to .avi

When i rename it it coems out as ****.avi

instead of the format changing
 
I don't fully understand. Mpeg and avi are different formats, although there are ways of converting between them.
 
NOOOO!!! u misunderstood me lol. I used mpeg format as a example. Ok I changed this file by renaming it ****.torrent. THen i tried to change this file again by renaming it again it typed ****.avi ..... This time the file just renamed it self ****.avi instead of changing the format and it stayed as a ****.torrent
How would i change the format? I alredy tired renaming it.

Actually, I think the file format after he converted it to the original file name was .WMV
 
I cant CHange the file format of this Its a Ogm File and it wont play on windows media or real i cant change it to avi or wnv I keep trying but it wont let me like it jsut renames it self with what i typed in instead of changing

That only works if the file is really AVI to start with :)

This time the file just renamed it self ****.avi instead of changing the format and it stayed as a ****.torrent
