Hi everyone at Computer Forum!

This is my final build (the one I would like to purchase in a short period of time). The reason for why I'm posting here is that I would like to know if these parts are compatible/ or not compatible with each other:

ZOTAC GEFORCE GTX 480 1536MB PCI-E DVI/HDMI
SAMSUNG DVD±R/RW/RAM DL 22X SATA
DESKSTAR 7K1000.C 1TB 7200RPM SATA/300 32MB
CORSAIR 6GB DDR3 XMS3 INTEL I7 9XX PC12800 1600MHZ CL9 (3X2GB)
INTEL CORE I7 950 3.06GHZ 8MB S-1366
COOLER MASTER MIDITOWER CM 690 II ADVANCED ATX BLACK

For example, does my PSU support my motherboard and vice versa? Because I'm really confused in this ATX12V/EPS12V business (link to psu and mobo down bellow):

ASUS P6X58D-E X58 S-1366 ATX

CORSAIR AX 1200W PROFESSIONAL SERIES MODULAR PSU

:confused:Q1 - Does my power supply support my motherboard and vice versa (such as the right type of CPU and MOBO power connections/cables?

That PSU will be compatible with your motherboard fine, what case have you got? BTW, 1200W is overkill for you. Take a look at
Enermax Revolution85+ ERV1050EWT
or
Antec TruePower Quattro 850W

The second would probably be better value for you, and 850W should be fine
